Part one · The ferry from Cebu
I didn't take any pictures on the ferry, but it wasn't particularly nice. You get an assigned seat and are expected to stay in it the whole time unless you need to get up for something, like on a plane. It worked, and it's fun to see other types of transportation, but it's not a fun boat ride where you get fresh air and can walk around and enjoy being on the water.
Where I stayed · Trudis Place
I had always heard you can book super cheap cash places on random beaches in Asia and they'll be very nice, so I tried it kind of blindly here. It didn't work out. It was a very rough room with no hot water in the shower, two floors of rooms off the back of a restaurant that opened onto the beach. Beachfront, but not comfortable. Three nights, $156.46 cash through Citi Travel. I don't need five-star hotels all the time. It was an experience.
